The Strand

I had the good fortune to be able to visit The Strand bookstore in NYC. It has a great history you can read about here, which tells how the business was established in 1927 in an area known as "book row". This store is a feast for the eyes and mind, too much to describe. So this post is a little tour of what I saw and loved. I delight in the smart, humorous curation of book topics, and this store is a treat for clever, well-designed signage. The upstairs floor is my favorite, filled with rare art books of every kind! Stepping in, I felt welcomed home.
